My Girl {Hanford Child Portrait Photographer}

This month, my little girl turned 7. And that, my friends, requires portraits! She picked out a pretty blue dress – her favorite color – and I found a spot in Hanford with some pretty turquoise peeling paint.

She is a sensitive, sweet, wild little girl with a major creative streak. She’s been such a blessing to us and I can’t believe she’s already seven years old.

Birthday & Snow Day

Last week our little girl turned 7 years old (official portraits coming soon!). Here is a snapshot of her at her time-of-birth, exactly 7 years later.

We took the day and went to Sequoia National Park to play in the snow. The kids didn’t care much for it – I think we spent more time getting changed into snow clothes than we did actually playing in the snow! Oh well… we had fun anyway. Here’s a self-timer portrait of our little family (one with giant hands as her gloves weren’t warm enough and she borrowed her Daddy’s).

Since playing in the snow didn’t last long, we decided to explore the park from the warmth of the truck. Here are some of the images I snapped of this little piece of Winter Wonderland.

And my self-portrait……… what I look like most of the time in the eyes of my children!  ; )

Happy Easter!

I thought I would share a few personal photos from our family’s Easter celebration. I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful Spring weather and time with loved ones!

My cuties were so excited to spend the day with their cousins.

And one of just me – because I don’t usually have time to curl my hair and I love it curly, so it was important to document with a photo.  ; )

And one last one of a lovely iris.

My Guy {Hanford Child Photographer}

It doesn’t seem possible that it was 2-1/2 years ago that I posted these pictures of my little guy. And yet I have this amazing, smart, clever, funny little person to share my days with. And, let me tell you, I do spend and extraordinary amount of time admiring his amazing eyelashes.

Happy 1/2-birthday Matthew!

Matthew is a Two-Year-Old {Hanford Child Photographer}

My little guy turned two this week. Is it just me or does it seem like he was just born a few days ago? Man oh man, time sure does fly by, especially with the second child!

He’s very much a mama’s boy – no one has ever loved me like this boy does! The feeling is mutual – I absolutely adore him!

Happy birthday to my favorite little boy!

My Family {Hanford Family Photography}

We spent Saturday afternoon at Sequoia National Park and took the opportunity to shoot some self-portraits of my family. And some shots of the amazing national park in our backyard. Seriously breathtaking!

One Year {Hanford Child Photography}

Where does the time go? Didn’t I post these photos just a couple of weeks ago?

My son turns one this week. He is sweet, content, easygoing, happy, and busy. He rarely cries and has few complaints. Already we can tell he is smart and very clever and determined. He does not like to be told no. He’s a great eater, wonderful sleeper, happy traveler, and all around a pleasure to be with. I am a proud mommy.

He has an excellent pout and isn’t afraid to use it – especially if someone is telling him “no.”

He loves his mama like nothing I’ve seen before. That old saying “mama’s boy & daddy’s girl” definitely hold true in this household. Matthew keeps a close eye on me and doesn’t like me to wander too far away. The feeling is mutual.

He’s such a delight and this first year with him has flown by. I’m sad and emotional to reach this milestone already, but so proud of him. He’s been a wonderful baby and I am honored to be his mommy. He has blessed our family so much.

I couldn’t resist getting a couple of pictures of both of the kids together. They are my world.

Can you tell she loves being a big sister?

10 Months

At 10 months old, this is the face I see most often. Hands in the mouth, wide eyes, and a sweet smile. He’s a wonderful baby and I adore him.
