The A Family Has Grown {Sonoma County Family Photography}

Meet the newest member of the A family. Cute cute cute!

It appears big brother is adjusting very well and I have a feeling these two are going to great friends.

At a little over two months old, little L was a perfect blend of newborn adorableness with a bit more awake time, too.

And still so teeny tiny. Swooooooon.

While little brother was getting changed, big brother snuck in and posed for me. How could I not take pictures of this child? Those eyelashes just kill me.

And look who is wide awake? So. Stinkin.’ Cute.

Baby C {Hanford Newborn Photography}

We have three sets of friends who welcomed baby boys during December. Here is the first newborn in my “baby boy marathon.” Meet Baby C and his big brother L (you may recognize him from their family photos a few weeks ago!). They are only two years apart and I have a feeling they are going to be fast friends.

The S Family {Hanford & Lemoore Family Portrait Photographer}

I met this cute family early this week for some portraits downtown. I have to admit, when they first contacted me about picture of twin 2-year-old boys and an infant baby sister, I was a little nervous. Two-year-olds are so fun to photograph, but not always the easiest in terms of getting them to hold still. And… 2-year-old twin boys? I knew I’d need my running shoes for this session! Turns out they were very smiley and well behaved (in a fast-moving kind of way that only a 2-year-old understands). Here are some of my favorite shots of the 60 “keepers” from our portrait session.

Baby Emery {Sonoma County Newborn Photographer}

September 29, 2012

Little Emery was about 2 months old when we got together for his photos. And oh my! He’s adorable! I had so much fun taking his photos and then getting to continue to swoon over him while I edited. Here are a few of my favorites from the 85 pictures that his parents will have to choose from!

His mom is crafty and made the blanket and owl we used in many of the photos. His nursery had lots of handmade and sentimental items – I loved it and felt right at home. : )

We tried for the daddy-holding-baby pose and Emery was instantly offended. This wasn’t exactly the image we were aiming for, but I love it nonetheless. I’m sorry, buddy!

Luckily he doesn’t hold grudges very long…

Swooooooon. Now you may be understanding why I enjoyed editing these photos so much. Look at that face!

We also took a few minutes to grab some family-of-three photos with his parents, who obviously adore him.

And with that, he was exhausted. I can’t say I blame him.

Baby Mia & Her Family

I met this family last weekend and one thing became clear very quickly – they adore baby Mia! And after only a few minutes, so did I! Not only does she share the name Mia with my sweet little girl, but she was just a good natured baby who was a pleasure to be around.

Baby R {Hanford Newborn Photographer}

Baby R was just shy of 2-weeks old for our session. He is such a tiny, adorable little boy and I loved getting to know him. Isn’t he handsome?

This one was my favorite… the eye contact, the cute expression on his face, the little tongue sticking out, and the tiny little forehead wrinkles. Ahh… I love newborns!

He was so funny – determined to turn away from the camera. That’s okay – it gave me a great excuse to capture his fuzzy little head of hair.

K was one of my newborns a few years ago – and now she’s a big sister!

Baby K {Hanford Child Photography}

Baby K is four-months already! I was so excited to see him again and see how much he has grown! And it’s always such a compliment to have clients return for more and more and more pictures!

Did I mention he’s still totally adorable?

Boys always get the best eyelashes, don’t they?

K is a very mouthy baby – he was chewing on his fingers, arms, blankets, or blowing bubbles for almost the whole session. I’m not sure he’ll appreciate this picture later in life, but I couldn’t resist!

Such a handsome little guy!

Welcome to the world, Baby N! I photographed his big brother a few years ago and was so excited to visit again to meet this sweet guy. For only one-month-old, he had some serious neck strength!

Baby K {Hanford Newborn Photographer}

When this picture is the first shot of the session, I know I’m going to have a fun afternoon.

This sweet guy is the youngest son of The S Family I blogged about yesterday. Since he’s only about a month old and still so little, we decided he needed his own newborn session.

He has some pretty incredible eyes. They’re kind of blue, brown, and gray – all at once. I’m very interested to see what color they’ll end up.

Little boys sure do love their mama’s………

This beautiful blue blanket was handmade by baby’s grandmother. I looooove the color and it was perfect for portraits. As a fellow crafter, I’m always so excited to have something handmade and sentimental in the pictures.
