Remember these faces? {Sonoma County Child Portraits}

Remember L & E from earlier this year? I was lucky enough to schedule another session with them while visiting in Sonoma County this Summer.

I just love little E’s shadow!

So sad… a moment after I snapped this picture, E took off running and fell on the concrete and scraped both knees and cut her little mouth. Poor baby!

After a few minutes (and a little photo editing…) she was as  good as new. Tough girl!

If you are interested in purchasing a print or looking for a portrait photographer in Hanford, Kings County, or Sonoma County, please contact Bissig Photography. For my Sonoma County clients, I will have ONE appointment available in September – give me a call if you’d like to get the details!

Baby K {Hanford Newborn Photographer}

When this picture is the first shot of the session, I know I’m going to have a fun afternoon.

This sweet guy is the youngest son of The S Family I blogged about yesterday. Since he’s only about a month old and still so little, we decided he needed his own newborn session.

He has some pretty incredible eyes. They’re kind of blue, brown, and gray – all at once. I’m very interested to see what color they’ll end up.

Little boys sure do love their mama’s………

This beautiful blue blanket was handmade by baby’s grandmother. I looooove the color and it was perfect for portraits. As a fellow crafter, I’m always so excited to have something handmade and sentimental in the pictures.

The S Family {Hanford Family Photographer}

I think it goes without saying that I love family portraits. I think it is so important to spend a few minutes each year documenting your family as it grows and changes. This family just welcomed baby boy #3 – what better reason to capture and preserve these moments as a family.

Their middle son wasn’t very happy to be taking pictures, but after a few minutes he warmed up and even gave me some smiles (I’m never more cool than when I am quacking & mooing to get a 2-year-old’s attention!).

And here’s one of my favorites of the oldest son.

The proud parents, taking a few minutes for themselves.

And mom and her three sons.

Smoooooch!

More photos coming soon – we  did a separate newborn session for the little guy!

Wine Country Spring {Sonoma County Family Photographer}

I met up with this family on a Spring morning in the Wine Country. We snuck in a photo session before the rain hit later than afternoon. Is it just me, or does it seem like it rains every time I come to town?!

We’ve known Jerry & Kandi for many years now and it’s always so fun to see them and get to know Aiden a little better.And I always always always leave with major eyelash envy. This child has caterpillar lashes!  ;)

Aiden started getting a little serious during our session. This is what happened when his mom and I asked him for a “big, crazy smile.” This makes me laugh so hard and reminds me why I love photographing small children and why I really love including some of the “outtakes” from our day.

I love this one out in a field.

We also took some photos of Kandi’s brother and nephew.

I’m thinking handsome kids run in the family?

I love this one of the cousins.

And one last picture of the whole family!

London {Hanford Newborn Photographer}

Baby London was fifteen days old when we met. Can you believe that eye contact? Adorable.

Is that a tiny little smile?

… night night sweet baby!

Sweet Baby Girl {Sonoma County Newborn Photographer}

Baby Keira was born last week to some very close friends and she very quickly stole my heart. I took nearly 300 pictures of this child during our weekend visit! Here are a few of my favorites.

Her Daddy was the first visitor we had in the hospital when our first child was born and it warms my heart to see him in love with a daughter of his own. This baby chose some excellent parents!

Welcome to the world, Keira – you are already so very loved. XOXO.

P.S. My talented friend Kelly made the darling headband and the cocoon – check out her handmade treasures at http://www.etsy.com/shop/insprink .

Anna & Catherine {Hanford Children’s Photographer}

Anna and my daughter attend preschool together and to say my daughter adores Anna would be an understatement. When her mom asked if I would photograph her girls, I couldn’t have been more excited. They’re both adorable. Meet Catherine & Anna.

We started our session at Jack Stone’s Barn on a fabulous day – it was almost 75 degrees! I’m so excited to welcome some warm weather! Catherine is a little over six-months old and I’ll think you’ll agree that she’s one of the cutest babies ever.

Sisters!

Anna will be five next month and has a very fun and silly personalty – after photographing her, I totally see why my daughter loves her so much – they’re very alike.

Lucky mama!

On the way home, we stopped at what I believe is an almond orchard that is fully in bloom. With a slight breeze, the blossoms were “snowing” on us and made for the most incredible spot for photographing these little girls.

Catherine was about done at this point, but humored me for a few more shots in the sunshine and “snow.”

Thank you for choosing Bissig Photography to photograph your children!

If you are interested in Spring portraits, please contact me right away – we still have some time before these beautiful trees lose their blossoms! You may email me at jodie@bissigphotography.com or contact me via my web site.

L & E {Santa Rosa Child Photographer}

When L & E’s mom and I were discussing possible locations, I was thrilled when she agreed to a new-to-me location. What’s more fun that two cute kids and a new location to spark my creativity? And they don’t come much cuter than these two…

And a few shots with mommy, too. I love that! As a mom, I know how rarely we actually get to be in the photos and how much we love the photos once we have them.

It was fun to take photos on the railroad tracks. Where I live, I would *never* attempt these kinds of photos (I think we get something like 40 trains a day here!). But Santa Rosa hasn’t seen a train in many years, which means railroad tracks become a fun “prop.”

This girl has some great smiles. And she has some really great pouts, too.

Kisses!

Thanks Kelly for asking me to photograph your babies!

Please contact me if you would like to schedule a portrait photography session in Hanford, Kings County, or Sonoma County!

Anna {Santa Rosa Child Photographer}

Meet Anna! She is the daughter of my good friend Courtney. We used to work together and had coffee together almost every day for years. Now she is a mommy to this sweet little girl, who turned two the day after we took these photos. Anna and I bonded during our photo shoot and she kept saying my name over and over again. Soooo cute!

She carried around this lemon for most of the time we took pictures. Sometimes you just need a lemon…   :)

Look at these eyelashes!

And a moment to smell a flower her daddy gave her. I love how kids smell things – so fully committed.
